Silesius International Poetry Festival

It was organized for the first time when Wrocław became the European Capital of Culture in 2016, as an accompanying event of Silesius Wrocław Poetry Award. The festival, taking place each year in May, engages in a wide spectrum of poetry-related activities, including meetings and panels, book premieres, readings, concerts, as well as performances and interventions in the city space. The international programme includes meetings with poets form abroad and translation workshops for students. Silesius Festival encompasses also year-long educational activities popularising poetry among the youngest readers.
